Hmmmm??? What inspires me to braid?
I remember as a kid braiding my mother’s and best friend’s hair. My mother was a plain Jane but my best friend on the other hand loved crazy braids. I loved the thrill of finishing and just starring at my work like wow... I Did That! LOL
The same thing goes for now; there is nothing better than the finished product. Not only that, but I love the look on my clients face when I’m done. Just being able to bring out the beauty and confidence in other women gives me so much pleasure. That’s what inspires me every day: walking into work knowing I’m going to make a difference in someone’s life.
On the outside looking in, a lot of people see what I do as just a job, when really, it’s a lifestyle. I sort of get to know myself a little more because there are times where I can’t believe the job I’ve done. I get to express myself through my braiding.
I get to look forward to something great.
I get to Make A Difference.
I get to be creative.
So what inspires me? I would say my clients.
Divine Braids isn’t just me - it’s my clientele.
